Blossom

Approaching biomimicry through an ephemeral design Blossom

A re-interpretation of femininity, an important value in a clothing brand in need of a new appearance for a pop up shop. This concept was inspired by origami and developed using paper, wood and fabric as a way to express two of femininity's feature.

The pop-up shop has a supportive cubic structure as a fix external structure. A light foldable structure that would stand on it’s own thanks to the wood panels that would act as joint when positioned in different ways. The inside shape created by the wood skin within the structure would slightly change and gradually evolve during the day thanks to small pulleys attached to various points on the fix structure. On the practical and traveling side, it would be easy to dismantle and reassemble and could be easily transported due to the lightweight materials. The design is with concern for sustainability, with limited amount of materials, mostly unprocessed - wood, metal, fabric.
